New Melones

New Melones is a unique and fun lake that you could get lost on.   It has nearly 100 miles of tree lined shores, long skinny fingers and forks like you would find on Shasta and Lake Powell. There are great spots to camp and enjoy watersports. The nearby town of Angels Camp resembles the small town feel like Truckee with lots of fun shops and restaurants. The drive takes about 3 hours, so my suggestion is to either spend the weekend or drive down the night before and stay in a nearby hotel, eat a big breakfast and have an awesome day on the water.
