Bullards Bar

Bullards Bar is a top 3 favorite of mine on the West Coast. Only 2 hours away from Reno off of Highway 49 just past Comptonville, CA. Bullards Bar was rated as one of the best water ski lakes west of the Mississippi by Waterski Magazine a few years back. The emerald green water will mesmerize you and the miles of protected water to ski and ride will tempt you for that one last pull. There are numerous floating porta potties throughout the lake for your convenience. It has an absolutely beautiful shoreline winding through the Yuba canyon. There is a full service marina with houseboat rentals, two launch ramps with plenty of parking. The water is warm and soft and it is difficult to leave. It is a great experience for the day trip, the weekend trip or even longer summer vacation houseboat trip. A must do type of lake.
